Steelex G-13 blauw.jpg

Steelex® G-13

A good quality export packaging material, which uses kraft paper, reinforcement netting, and an LDPE coating.
The paper is made from long virgin fibres, which is pH-neutral and technically 100% chloride-free.

Reinforcement

The reinforcement netting gives Steelex® G-13 a high tear resistance. It uses an interlocked reinforcement material, superior in quality to scrim reinforcement in which the threads lie loosely together. An LDPE coating makes Steelex® G-13 waterproof, so no water will penetrate the packaging.

TEA

Non-creped paper has a very low stretch value. Consequently, the Tensile Energy Absorption is not as great as that of a creped quality. This is an important issue when handling coils, bending sheets, and overlap-roof-tile wrapping pipes, wires, and sectional materials.

Burst resistance

Compared to creped qualities the burst resistance is lower. For an even higher degree of protection we recommend Steelex® K-13. This is a reinforced quality, LDPE-coated, creped Kraft paper, with improved burst and tear resistance and TEA.
